What to expect

What to expect

Creative Planning
This is where the initial ideas are brainstormed and refined into a cohesive concept. We work closely with you to determine the purpose, tone, and style of the video, ensuring it aligns with your goals. While the main priority of event videography is coverage, we still like to have an idea of how you would like the final video to be presented, as these can determine the equipments we choose to use, the way we edit the video, and the music we choose to align with the pacing.

Equipment Planning and Preparation
We carefully assess the technical requirements of the project and prepare the necessary equipment. This includes selecting the appropriate cameras, lenses, lighting setups, audio gear, and any specialised tools like drones or stabilisers.

Acquisition of Prominent Information
Before the shoot, we gather all essential details about the event or project. This includes:

- Identifying key individuals to focus on, such as the Guest of Honour.
- Being informed about individuals or sensitive topics to avoid during filming to maintain professionalism and privacy.
- Understanding the event schedule or sequence to ensure that critical moments are captured.

Confirmation of Location
Securing and confirming the filming location is crucial. We coordinate with venue managers to understand the layout, lighting conditions, and if there any restrictions as to where we can film or set up our equipments.

Manpower Distribution
Once we have an understanding of the scale of the event, we will then organise our team, making sure we have enough manpower and assigning specific roles to ensure efficiency on the shoot day.

Set Up for Shoot (Lighting, Cameras, etc.)
Before filming begins, our team sets up the production environment. This involves arranging:

- Lighting: Depending on where the event is located at, we will either work with the natural sunlight if it's outdoors or set up some additional lights if it's indoors.
- Cameras: Positioning cameras at optimal angles and finding those sweet spots to film from. Multiple camera setups may be used to capture different perspectives simultaneously.
- Sound Equipment: Ensuring high-quality audio by setting up microphones and sound recorders, trying our best to navigate around noisy environments.

Filming
During the shoot, our team focuses on getting as much coverage as possible, especially during the key moments that were highlighted during pre-production.

Editing (and Amendments)
The first step in post-production is editing the raw footage. We will review all the footage and selects the best shots, arranging them in a sequence that showcases the event from start to finish. Throughout the editing process, we keep you informed and provide drafts for review, allowing for amendments based on your feedback.

Graphics
We will add graphics if necessary.

Colour Grading
Once we have pieced all the clips together, we will then move on to the colour grading process. This includes balancing colours, enhancing contrast, and ensuring a consistent look across all scenes.

Fine-Tune Final Edit
After incorporating feedback and finalising the major edits, we review the video for any last adjustments. This includes smoothing transitions, syncing audio perfectly, and making sure the video is ready for release.

Once we've completed all these steps, you've got your video!

FAQ

Yes! We will send the ones that are relevant to your requirements.

It usually depends on how many hours required for the shoot. Most of the time we give an hourly rate for basic coverage. ($350 per hour but minimum 2 hours) If the event is complex, we will charge based on the event requirement and deliverables.

If you require us to plan and shoot less than a month (depending on the complexity of the shoot), we will have to quote a higher price because of the expedited time. Sometimes we might not be able to commit because of different factors like approval of permit request, talent acquisition and availability etc.

However, we always try our best no matter how tight the deadline is, so just enquire and we'll see what we can do for you.

It depends on the scale of the event. If it's a small event, usually one videographer is enough, but if there’s a need to cover something like Singapore Expo or Marina Bay Conventions Centre, then usually 3-4 videographers are recommended.

Sometimes, it also depends on what you need to cover, so if let’s say you need a multicam video with audience and host interactions, you definitely need 2 videographers, even if its for a small section.

Yes! But please preamp us because there’s additional equipment for us to bring. If you need a proper interview set up with lighting and proper microphones, do let us know in advance.

It depends! Most of the time it’s a mix of corporate and hype (curated mainly for social media) but there are times where you may just want a simple video. As there is a charm to a simple video providing value and information in the video without over the top aesthetics.

Raws will be an additional 100% of the quotation. If you preamp us in the beginning that you need the RAWS then we will include it in the quotation we provide.

However, if you request it afterwards, we will charge you roughly 100% of the quotation.

Raw footage is often charged separately because it offers clients significant value beyond the final edited product. With raw footage, clients can repurpose content for various uses, such as creating social media posts, personal projects, marketing materials, or archival purposes. Each of these applications requires additional handling, storage, and potentially further editing, which adds to the overall effort and resources involved. By charging extra for raw footage, we ensure that the costs associated with managing and providing this valuable content are covered, while allowing clients the flexibility to use their footage for a range of future needs.

By all means! Let us know exactly what you need and we will accommodate your needs so we won’t miss out on anything important.

Most of the time, we will take 1 week for the first draft and another week for any amendments required. But if a faster expedite time is requested, we can adhere to it but it may be an additional cost depending on the intensity and editing schedule.

We only allow up to 2 amendments. If you require more than two amendments, additional charges will incur. (30% of quotation)

Photography and panel/fireside videography. We can do onsite editing but the cost will be on a per hour basis on top of the whole quotation and we go by per hour of $150.

In an event whereby the shoot is cancelled or rescheduled because the client can’t make it last minute, a cancellation fee will be incurred at 50% of the original quotation (usually it's the deposit). This is to cover the manpower and opportunity cost lost.
